Incheon Airport to Myeongdong by Airport Bus: Find Your Route, Fare and Stop Number
Two routes serve Myeongdong on the official Incheon Airport bus search: 6015 (Myeongdong Stn), ₩17,000 and 6701 (City Hall/Gwanghwamun), ₩18,000. The fare is not on the first screen — it sits in a table wider than a phone, under a tooltip written only in Korean. The numbers below come from airport.kr (English), Transport > Bus > Bus Search, captured on 2026-10-02.

Why the Myeongdong bus is confusing before you search
A search for "Myeongdong" returns only two routes, so the real question is not which bus exists but which one stops closer to your hotel. The price gap between them is ₩1,000, which matters less than the drop-off point. The awkward part is that the fare is stored in a horizontally scrolling table, and a Korean-only tooltip sits on top of it on an otherwise English page.
Step 1. Type Myeongdong into Search bus routes
Open Transport > Bus > Bus Search (www.airport.kr/ap_en/1504/subview.do). The input box is labelled Search bus routes with the hint Enter your destination or Origin; the English spelling "Myeongdong" works.

Press Search. Below the box are region tabs — Seoul / Gyeonggi / Incheon / Gangwon / Chungcheong / Jeolla / Gyeongsang — and under them the result list.

The results are 6015(Myeongdong Stn) and 6701(City Hall/Gwanghwamun). The same screen lists Inquiries: Seoul Area Buses — Dasan Call Center (02-120).
Step 2. Swipe the table sideways to see the fare
Tapping 6015 opens a summary table that is wider than the phone screen, and a dark tooltip covers it.

The tooltip reads 「좌우로 움직여서 내용을 확인하세요. 해당 안내문은 클릭시 닫힙니다.」 — "swipe left and right to see the content; tap this notice to close it." It is the one element on the page that is not translated.

After swiping, the row shows Fare ₩17,000 and Bus Company(Contact) Airport Limousine (+82-2-2664-9898) with a Website link. Below it, Route Schedule splits into Bus Schedule(T1/Weekday) and Bus Schedule(T1/Weekend).
Step 3. Check first bus, last bus and the departure interval
For 6015, the first bus leaves T1 at 05:39 and T2 at 05:19; the last leaves T1 at 23:19 and T2 at 22:59. The T1 weekday list starts 05:39, 05:59, 06:19, and tightens to roughly ten-minute gaps during the day (10:02 10:12 10:22 10:32 / 13:05 13:16 13:27 13:38 / 16:01 16:10 16:19 16:28). For 6701, the last bus is earlier: T1 22:25, T2 22:05. If you land later than that, the site keeps late-night routes under a separate Late-Night Bus (Terminal 1·2) menu — N6000, N6002, N6701 (DDP), N6703 — check their stop lists separately.
Step 4. Read the stop list and write down your stop number

The 6015 Route information runs: Incheon Airport T2 → T1 → Mapo Stn (Seoul Garden Hotel) → Gongdeok Stn. → Ahyun-dong Service Center → Mapo Police Stn. → Ahyun Elementary School → Chungjungro Stn. → Brownstone → Namdaemun Market (Splaisur Myeongdong) → Ibis Hotel Myungdong → Royal Hotel (Euljiro Ipgu) → Eulgiro 2-ga, and continues further (stop names as spelled on the screen).
The boarding buttons mix Korean into the English page: 6015 shows Terminal 1 「1층 5No.」 (1st floor, stop 5) and Terminal 2 Transportation Center Basement 1, stop 28. 6701 shows T1 「1층 3No.」 and T2 Transportation Center B1, stop 18, and drops at Gwanghwamun (Koreana Hotel), City Hall (The Plaza Hotel), Sogong-dong (Westin Josun) and Euljiro 1-ga (The Grand Lotte Seoul).

The Bus Stop Guide for Terminal 1 states that tickets and information are available at booths inside the terminal next to exits 4 and 9, and outside near exits 4, 6, 7, 8, 11 and 13.
At Terminal 1: where you actually buy the ticket
The website lists the booths; the arrivals hall shows how it works on the ground. The photos below were taken on the 1st floor (arrivals) of Terminal 1.

The 1F Information sign gives the ticket points by exit number: Ticket Office/Kiosk inside Exit 4–5, 6–7, 8–9, 10–11 and Ticket Kiosk outside Exit 4, 7, 8, 11. That is not quite the list in the website's Bus Stop Guide above, so on the day, follow the signs in the hall rather than a list you saved. The same sign points to the Airport Railroad on B1F and to SIM counters near Exit 3 and Exit 12 (24 hours).

The staffed counter sits under a 버스매표소 BUS TICKETS sign, and the board above it lists Dest., Dep. Time, Via, Fare, Seats and Platform for Seoul, Gyeonggi-do and Region routes — check your route and platform there before you queue. Beside it are the 버스승차권 발매기 (Bus Ticket Kiosk) machines. The sign above them is the line to remember: Credit card only · Refundable · Cash and transportation cards not allowed. The kiosk screen opens on "Please select the destination" and adds: "Please purchase a ticket after checking the boarding time. A fee will be charged for non-boarding."

If you want to pay with T-money, or your card does not work at the kiosk, head for the staffed office instead. Its banner — 공항버스 유인매표소 / Airport bus Ticket Office — says "Airport bus tickets can also be purchased with a Tmoney card," and the same booth is a Tmoney Travel Card sales office.

If you are buying a SIM anyway, look at the telecom counters before the bus counter. Their signs advertise "GET FREE T-MONEY", "Preloaded Transportation Card (T-money)" and "GET FREE Transportation CARD" alongside SIM and eSIM plans. The terms differ by carrier and plan, so ask what is included before you count on it.
What the site does not tell you, and who to call
The website does not show whether you can pay onboard, whether 6015 requires a reservation, or how the T1 weekend timetable differs from the weekday one — the weekend tab exists but was not compared. In the terminal itself, the answer on payment is split: the kiosks take credit cards only, and the staffed ticket office also takes T-money (photos above). The site also states that "The information on the website is for reference only," so the operator is the final source for schedule changes. One notice is worth planning around: when booking transport departing from Incheon Airport, allow 1–2 hours for immigration after arrival.
